Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Curry County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained so that we can respond. We keep those messages within our organization and disclose them outside it only when the law requires us to do so.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the site's servers automatically receive basic technical information about that visit:

- Pages viewed and time spent on them

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Curry County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It explains how to find records held by the Curry County Sheriff's Records Division, Curry County Circuit Court, Oregon State Police Criminal Justice Information Services, and the Oregon Public Sex Offender Registry. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Curry County offices, Oregon court portals, state agencies, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you follow an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use activity across websites to select targeted advertising. That processing occurs through their systems rather than ours.

We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed to:

Oregon Public Records Law, ORS 192.311–192.478, applies to records held by Oregon public bodies, while ORS 181A.220 and ORS 181A.245 govern access to and dissemination of criminal-offender information. Those laws do not convert this private website into a government records custodian. With respect to information we hold, you may:
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask for a copy of information held about you
- Opt out of certain processing where that choice is available
- Ask that eligible information be deleted
