The jail was built in 1972 and has a maximum design capacity of 35 adults. Separation needs can reduce its practical capacity.
Arrest Records: What They Contain
An agency report can hold more detail than a roster entry. Some facts remain redacted for an active case, protected victim, juvenile, medical concern, or officer-safety reason.

Curry City Arrest Record Routes
Brookings Police accepts written or in-person requests at 898 Elk Drive and says reports already submitted to the District Attorney should be traced through that office. Gold Beach uses its city public-record process. Port Orford's official police page is the live starting point because no stable public defendant-name portal or detailed police form was documented.
None of the three cities was shown to operate a separate public city jail. A custodial arrest normally shifts the booking record to Curry County Jail in Gold Beach, while the city keeps its police narrative. State charges then move to Circuit Court, but city ordinance or traffic matters may remain municipal.

OSP CJIS receives fingerprints for qualifying Oregon arrests, including felonies and sex- and drug-related misdemeanors. Its $33 other-person Open Record is not a full arrest archive. It reports convictions and an arrest less than one year old when CJIS has not received an acquittal or dismissal. Older non-conviction-only history generally is not released through that product.
The request requires the subject's full name, date of birth, and current or last-known mailing address, along with requester identity and address. OSP gives the subject a 14-day chance to inspect or challenge the result before release. For one's own identity-specific review, a current fingerprint card and OSP's Copy of Own Record process are the stronger channel.
Arrest Records vs Conviction Records
An arrest records alleged conduct and custody. A conviction is a court judgment after a guilty plea or verdict. The prosecutor can decline a case, change charges, or dismiss a count, and a court can acquit. Always follow a booking to the clerk's file before describing the outcome.
